Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Collective/Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Global Séance, October 29th 2020

The Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Collective is a collaborative group originating from a painting of the Museum in Suzanne Treister's project, The Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) (2018-19), a Serpentine Galleries commission.

The 3rd Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Séance, hosted by Serpentine Galleries London as part of The Garden of Earthly Delights, Ars Electronica 2020, took place virtually in outer space and included MBHSTCollective members joined by72 participants from all over the world.

During the séance we travelled 400 billion light years through space to enter and make group contact with The Museum of Black Hole Spacetime. We questioned its function, its contents, its origin, and what it might be able to tell us about the mysteries of the cosmos.

During the séance we produced drawings, watercolours and texts describing our visions, some of which are below.
