Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Collective/Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Séance, London, January 2020
The Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Collective is a collaborative group originating from a painting of the Museum in Suzanne Treister's project, The Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) (2018-19), a Serpentine Galleries commission.
Members are: Suzanne Treister, Ben Vickers, Kay Watson, Eva Jäger, Cecilia Serafini, James Wreford and Richard Grayson.
The first Museum of Black Hole Spacetime Séance took us from London, England on an intergalactic astral journey to a hypothetical museum in the cosmos, The Museum of Black Hole Spacetime. During the séance we travelled 400 billion light years from Earth to enter and make group contact with the museum. We questioned its function, its contents, its origin, and what it might be able to tell us about the mysteries of the cosmos.
During the séance we produced drawings and watercolours describing our visions (see below).
