MUSEUM FOR GRØN REGNBUE MASKININTELLIGENS

(MUSEUM OF GREEN RAINBOW MACHINE INTELLIGENCE)

MURAL FOR HOLBÆK ART at KIRKESTRÆDE, 4300 HOLBÆK, DENMARK
Curated by Mette Kjærgaard Præst

Museum of Green Rainbow Machine Intelligence is a mural work which transforms an entire building into a sculptural object, into an imaginary museum. I have been making images of imaginary museums for several of my projects since 2016; for SURVIVOR (F) (2016-19), for The Escapist BHST (Black Hole Spacetime) (2018-19), and for KABBALISTIC FUTURISM (2021-22).

The building which now appears as a Museum of Green Rainbow Machine Intelligence is in actuality the rear outbuilding of Skoringen shoe shop on Ahlgade, the main shopping street of Holbæk.
The work proposes an imaginary museum located on this site at a time in the future when artificial or machine intelligences might be so evolved or advanced that their development is already historicised in museums.

It is unclear whether this museum is run by humans, post-humans or machine intelligences but either way the crucial thing is that the title of the Museum might allow us to feel a positive energy from a hypothetical future world, where perhaps the destructions of climate change have been resolved or reversed, or positively altered in some way.

This Museum of Green Rainbow Machine Intelligence opens up a space for imagining such a future world and working towards it, with hope that our various technologies which have enabled the current global crisis may in turn provide its solutions, and that in order to achieve these goals we should navigate towards this hypothetical future, in the spirit of 'green rainbows', taking care that our technologies which evolve from now on are directed only by the most positive sides of our own human intelligence, rather than by human greed and the innate logics of development of the technologies themselves.

It could be nice one day if the shoe shop might allow an occasional programme of events, exhibitions, discussions, workshops and research projects to take place inside the building.
