THE BAND: ROSALIND BRODSKY AND THE SATELLITES OF LVOV

Satellite of Lvov (audio track & music video (view stills) - 6 mins)

The cd cover features Brodsky's Satellite Spy Probe which has been
in orbit since 2025. The exterior of the satellite was teleported from
Berlin in the late 20th century, originally being a project of the
Bulgarian artist, Christo and his wife, Jeanne Claude.

At I.M.A.T.I. an inverted simulacrum of the wrapped Reichstag was
fabricated by the neuromodality unit and attached underneath the
original.

The cd cover was designed by Brodsky in 2025

Satellite of Lvov is a song about the death of my/Brodsky's Polish
Jewish grandmother in the Holocaust. The footage for the Satellite of Lvov video was shot in Auschwitz - Birkenau, Poland; towns and
villages in Ukraine; locations in New York including, Coney Island
disused funfair, Brighton Beach, the home of Russian immigrants and Ellis Island.

The back cover of the cd (below) shows some scenes from the video.

LYRICS:

Satellite of Lvov

(in memory of Rosalind Blum
and inspired by Lou Reed)

Where have I gone
behind your eyes
things like that psych
me into my mind
I watched me for a little while
I like to watch me on TV

chorus:
Satellite of Lvov
x 4

Where have I been
in someone's dream
soon it will be filled
with pierogis and sour cream
I watched you for a little while
I love to watch you in the past

chorus

I've been told
that you've been killed
by Hitler or the U.S.S.R.
where they put you I don't know
I don't know where you are

Where have I gone
behind your eyes
things like that psych
me into my mind
I watched me for a little while
I love to watch me on TV
