Suzanne Treister founded ICOLS in November 2000 since when she has been recruiting members from various parts of the world.

Treister's participation in ICOLS takes a variety of forms, from developing her own projects within ICOLS and its sub-departments, to instigating and managing ICOLS non-web based international projects.

She is also responsible for the construction and updating of the ICOLS website with members' contributions.
